As I mentioned in my post about Majolica Majorca, I love make-up! So, when Samuel left me to my own devices in Akihabara to go to the location test of Gundam vs Gundam Extreme (nerd alert! Report on the Gundam Cafe to follow…), I took the opportunity to pop to Don Quixote and pick up some shiny new Japanese cosmetics.
Among my vast haul were a couple of items from Kose’s Cosmagic line of make-up, aimed at young women and capitalising on their appetite for all things pink and kawaii.
Sweet Deco Cheek: I’m very happy with this blusher – the three colours (I picked the peach colour on the right) mean that you can tailor the combination to suit yourself perfectly. The heart shape is a creamy texture, while the other two have a much more powdery consistency – wonderful! I have to say that I was swayed not only the by the packaging (the screw-top is one huge gem!) but also by the little pom-pom stick applicator. There’s a suggestion on the site to use the plastic packaging’s cut-out heart as a template, and the pom-pom is perfect for subtle application.
Lock On Liner: What really make this product unique is the shape of the crayon – the triangle shape is great for alternating between thick and thin lines, and creating the perfect big winged eye. The soft formula of the liner makes for easy application, and what’s even better is that it’s water-proof – no more Marilyn Manson comparisons if you get caught out in the rain!

I’ll be delving through the depths and uncharted territories of my make-up bag again soon! In the mean time, let us know if you’ve picked up any beauty secrets in Japan…
