Makoto Aida’s latest solo exhibition is a fantastic comment on Japan’s stereotypical ‘salary man’ culture.

In ‘E-Baka’, the main focus is inevitably on the piece entitled ‘grey mountian’. The work illustrates piles of deceased salary men, their workaholic bodies entwined with deconstructed messes of office machinery – their livelihood and their downfall. The exhibition also features oil paintings and video¬†installations. This is thought-provoking material from a great contemporary artist.
