I could quite happily have filled up my camera just with photos of the fantastic outside. Of course, the inside is worth seeing too!
It’s perfect for taking a break from rummaging through all the little boutiques that line the streets of Harajuku; the gallery has vast indoor spaces featuring an ever-changing array of artists with weird & wonderful exhibitions – even the loos are devoted to creative crafts! The gallery also has a kitsch little cafe in between the East & West galleries, and a fabulous okonomiyaki restaurant too (look out for a okonomiyaki special how-to this weekend). It is popular with tourists & Tokyoites alike, but I’ve never found it to be too crowded, and you’re more than welcome to get snap happy with your camera.

I love it, it’s such a great monument to the genius of creativity in Tokyo. I can’t wait to hang out there again!
