I’m sure I’ve mentioned before how much I love MA*RS, right? I’ve been on a Harajuku street fashion (as in, the arty back-streets & not so much Takeshita Doori tourist-ville) kick recently, resulting in loads of posts about black clothes with drapes and drop-crotches. I feel like I’ve been neglecting Shibuya! In reality, Samuel and I love nothing better than to cut through Yoyogi park and watch the skaters and dancers and general eccentrics on our way to and/or from Shibuya/Harajuku. Although there’s very different fashion cliques associated with both parts of Tokyo, they’re geographically very close and it’s a true pleasure to shop in both Harajuku’s La Foret and Shibuya’s 109, for example.

Anyway, back to one of my favourite brands MA*RS: although flashing the flesh (between mini skirts and stockings at least) has become a trademark MA*RS look, but how on earth do these pink and black loving ladies keep warm in the winter? In lovely coats, of course!

Love this trench coat! Great length, great belt, great pink fur collar & cuffs.

More pink fur below, and paired with a large-brimmed hat – something I associate more with summer but I love with this winter look! If I ever have to work in an office, I’ll be rocking out with MA*RS. Promise.

Okay, I’m sure you know by now that I have more than a soft spot for any black and white combination! This is possibly the cutest homage to the classic Chanel suit I’ve ever seen!

And below; MA*RS, making pinstripe sexy for twenty years. For me it’s all in the details – pink ribbon lacing, huge gold buttons, MA*RS fabric on the cuffs, and a great cut.

Is there life on MA*RS? Yes, and it’s leopard print.

Mar*s stuff is to die for! I would life in the stuff if it weren’t so expensive. Oh to be a poor student..

Hi Emmie, thanks for getting touch! (Cute blog, by the way!) 🙂

I love MA*RS too; even though I’m a bit too old to wear it I still love looking! One thing I really like is that because there’s a set colour scheme for the whole brand, everything matches – you can gradually add to your MA*RS wardrobe 😉

Haha, I too like both Harajuku and 109 (tho am too old for some f the fashion). I like Mars, but wish it didn’t have so much PINK! I do dig the black and white combo tho. I think TuTuHA is prob my fave 109 store cos of the rock element.
