I do sometimes think that what’s missing from mainstream fashion at large, despite the amazing styling and themes of Jeremy Scott, is a huge dose of fun. I have to say that I love my Tokyo Telephone job, I love fashion and clothes and the culture and creativity that sounds tem, and more specifically Japanese fashion. And of course I was delighted to see Malko Malka‘s latest offering for autumn and beyond – get ready to giggle!

I’m pretty sure that fans of JSG, Galaxxxy, and Super Lovers will find a new favourite or two in this brilliant collection. Located in Harajuku’s La Foret basement, Malko Malka brighten up their surroundings (yes, even in La Foret!) with their stunning pitch painted dark blue and decorated with stars. It’s a great visual style for the brand, and they start as they mean to go on! In the typical Harajuku way, there’s a huge mish-mash if influences here, from punk to pop, and of course a little something for everyone – from teddy-bear scarves to bats and polka dots. I’m a huge fan of this kind of spooky-kawaii fashion, and maybe a little ghost might come home with me… who says it can’t Halloween every day?

I’m pretty sure a polka dot cape is exactly what’s been missing from my life.

I can’t decide what I like the best: the gold hat with ears, or the amazing print on the t-shirt?

So cute! Would also look fantastic in a Spank!-esque coordinate.

The glasses do nothing to offset the face on the jumper. Nothing! I love that it also has pocket hands too. So brilliant.

A bad bat top that’s wonderfully good! I love the hem line too – I’d probably wear it with leather shorts and platform shoes for that neo-goth look… if I was a teenager, anyway!

Despite the questionable pompoms, I really really love this shirt! Definitely would put a smile on my face.

Not gonna lie, this amazing spooky-print maxi skirt is on my wishlist. So so in love. I feel like I’d like to be a little more risky with my outfits, and of course a Halloween skirt is the way forward…

Okay, this isn’t gal, but I could really see Egg magazine’s Kanako wearing this! What do you think?

Punkawaii; I’m making up words now. Perfect, right down to the pink trainers.

And another healthy helping of fun. And ghosts.
