I can’t believe I’m writing the November edition of the site news already! Where did it go?! Rather than losing a month in some kind of drunken haze (alas), we’ve been busier then ever – I didn’t think it was possible, honestly. But hey, why aim low, right? If you’re achieving your goals, then the goals are too easy, as someone else once said.
Apocalypse Now: After re-watching all three Mad Max films a little while ago, both Samuel & I have been on a real apocalyptic-punk kick… and we’re not the only ones! Take a look at the wonderful creations of Yasuyuki Ishii, and think of a dystopian future – if you dare!
Ink Royalty: As tattoo lovers, we couldn’t pass up the chance to attend Daikanyama’s King of Tattoo event in October – take a look at the post, and don’t forget our tattoo tag either… We’ve just got tickets for our next tattoo convention in January!
Fashion Week: The vast majority of our Japan fashion Week coverage is now up; for easy navigation just click on the tag! We’re still featuring a ton of designers that we discovered at Fashion Week, so keep your eyes open…
Mad Hatters: Cabbages, mice and top hats? It can only be the weird & wonderful Barairo no Boushi!
Sweet as Sugar: Rebecca fawns over Candy, and most probably makes a fool of herself (I can get away with writing in the third person, right?)
Call Me: Samuel’s been a busy bee updating with his ever-evolving style (see the Private Number tag) – thanks to the lovely Trashtastika of The Fashionate Traveller (excellent blog!) for her comparison of Samuel to both Jarvis Cocker & Brett from Suede!
Direction Forthcoming: Our fabulous brand directory has an A to Z of all the Japanese fashion brands we’re written about in the seven months that Tokyo Telephone has been around – phew!
Where’s…?: Looking for that special shop? Head on over to our Tokyo shopping map and click around the best interactive map there is!
Links and Other Sites: We’re always on the look out for interesting and fabulous blogs & sites to add to our phone book – leave us a comment or drop us a line at hello @ tokyotelephone.com if you’d like to be added to our ever-growing list. Content from Tokyo Telephone is also available on flickr, livejournal and twitter too – if you like what we do, the spread the word with the handy Talking Telephone links at the bottom of each article! We’re also featured on Glam UK‘s fashion channel – a great way to see what’s going on on the rest of the network!
I’m almost hoping December will be a little slower… nah, no way!
