As a long-time lover of Radd Lounge – I love a bit of the Actual Pain spooky prints, Your Eyes Lie amazing t-shirts, and of course the Jeremy Scott x Adidas and Boy London x Long collaborations – so imagine my joy when I finally got my act together and found their tumblr (for copious photos of Samuel and reblogging of weird stuff check out the Tokyo Tumblrphone). I very nearly did a little dance! I’m sure I’ve made my love of contemporary male Japanese street fashion pretty well known here, but I will say this; there’s nowhere quite like Japan for amazing style.

Classy jodhpurs, striped trousers, busy prints, eye-blinding colours and a healthy dose of black… I think I’m in heaven. I’ve complied some of my favourite looks from Radd Lounge, and I’m already feeling inspired enough to create a fantasy wishlist – just don’t let my bank manager know!

Grade A classy.

Love the relaxed style paired with suit jacket & brogues.

Pale colours but still edgy. Creepers are coming back for men, too.

Thos printed trousers are amazing!

Eee, a pork-pie hat & shiny pointed creepers! I would wear this very very happily.

Two pairs of amazing shoes in one photo. Oh, and a great jacket.

Love the armour-like paneling and textures.

I don’t know how this works. But it does, dammit.

Again with the class! Oh, help me…

Classic street look. Almost enough to make me want trainers (no, not sneakers).

Love the colours on the jacket – almost matches the Vivienne Westwood t-shirt I’m wearing today.

Quite honestly nothing I don’t like.

Well. Now I’m feeling wholly inspired to dig out some wide-leg trousers and loud t-shirts. You’ll find me hanging out by the graffiti…

  1. Great shots! Its really interesting though, even on the wider legged pants, the ankles are still quite tight/tapered. Its kind of a jodphur look, isn’t it?

    Thanks for the comment!

I’ve been wearing my sheer harem trousers quite a lot recently, but I’m not sure they (and jodhpurs for that matter) are a flattering shape on me! Maybe they look better on men?
Your comment has made me want to bind up the ankles of wide leg trousers… a weekend project? Haha 😉
