It’s been our busiest month ever here at Tokyo Telephone! As well as our usual duty of bring you the best of Japanese fashion and lifestyle, we’ve been scouring the streets of Tokyo to find the latest trends and up-and-coming designers.

Fashion Week & Events: As mentioned in this article, Samuel are I were privileged enough to attend the 11th Japan Fashion Week in Tokyo – literally a dream come true for both of us! We had an absolutely wonderful time seeing the shows & chatting to some of Japan’s most exciting young designers, so keep your eyes peeled on the main page and on the handy Japan Fashion Week tag for all our coverage.

As well as hobnobbing with Japan’s fashion elite, we also dropped in on a couple of other events – King of Tattoo in Daikanyama & the first Exhibition Silver event in Shibuya – we’re hard at work editing photos and writing reports, but for a sneak peak head over to our photo gallery page for some exclusive shots.

Hyper Japan: We had a blast at one of London’s best Japanese festivals! See our main report here, and take a look at some of the well-dressed attendees here (including Samuel & Naoki Matsumura the editor of Kera magazine!) – can’t wait for the next one! For all our event reports from tattoos to takoyaki, see the events tag. If you find a UK or Japan event you think us & our readers would enjoy then let us know!

Going Gaga for Joji Kojima: Samuel took a trip into the weird and wonderful world of acclaimed haute couture designer Joji Kojima – his creations have to be seen to be believed! Read the full article here – do you agree with Samuel about high fashion? I know what I’d love my Halloween costume to be this year…

Tunnels Under Tokyo: While Samuel looked at fashion highs, Rebecca went underground – explore the hidden tunnels that lurk under Tokyo’s neon streets in this article! Did you know about the cavernous G-Cans project under Saitama? What about the unexplained stories of secret WWII-era passageways? Spooky!

Maps: Taken a gander at our Tokyo shopping map yet? What are you waiting for?!

Links & Other Sites: We’re always on the look out for interesting and fabulous blogs & sites to add to our phone book – leave us a comment or drop us a line at hello @ if you’d like to be added to our ever-growing list. Content from Tokyo Telephone is also available on flickr, livejournal and twitter too – if like what we do then spread the word by taking advantage of the Talking Telephone links that allow you to share posts on the major social networking sites – couldn’t be easier! We’re also featured on Glam UK‘s fashion channel – a great way to see what’s going on on the rest of the network!
