Sometimes individual fashion items that we focus on here at Tokyo Telephone get lost in the deluge of enthusiasm that justifiably accompanies our posts, so Rebecca and I thought it would be a good idea to really focus in on something that just happens to be on our minds that day – hence the short and sweet – teletxts.

Recently I have been all about brass detailing on leather and denim.  Unless it is sterling silver all other detailing just wears away till it is copper or brass anyway, so I am all about cutting out the cheap plating and keeping it honest and real from the start:

Exemplifying this are these awesome Tornado Mart Spider Jeans.  Classic boot friendly bell bottom cut with the trademark TM tightest of the tight legs – instantly flattering and inevitably cool.  Also I just love the steel, copper and brass studs in the shape of insects down the leg and the fact that they come in at a modest (for Tornado Mart) 19000 yen is frankly a bonus.

UPDATE: These are apparently on sale according to the OIOI site at an amazing 10000 yen.  You will regret missing out on these!

I’ll have to get Samuel to post about this amazing beetle necklace he got in La Foret – fashion needs more bugs!
