More Tsumori! More! It’s hard not to feel like a child in sweet shop (or a kid in a candy store, as our American friends would say) when looking at Tsumori Chisato’s collections. It’s so easy to feel over-excited and overwhelmed by the colours, patterns and textures… not to mention the amount of work that goes into one single garment; printing, embroidery and extras like tassels, beads and sequins. (Having popped into the Parco stockist the other day, I’m super in love with an amazing TC scarf that has a sort built in fur stole element. Very dribble-worthy.)

So, let’s take a trip this summer with Tsumori Chisato. This really feels to me like a proper holiday runway-runaway group of looks; there’s tropical themes, Asian styles, and plenty of bright colours that wouldn’t be out of place on any beach – except maybe the grim & grey seaside town I grew up in! Despite quite a large range of influences, it still feel cohesive rather than chaotic, and of course we have Chisato herself to thank for that. Her vision and work is undiluted and still very recognisable; collection after collection, year after year. Long may it last!

Lovely little bright bomber jacket – are those palm tree pockets? I hope so.

Espadrilles getting a TC make-over, and it works brilliantly. Kind of in love with the parasols, and of course the bold clothing too.

I really hope the parasols go into production! Oh, I can’t wait to see the sort of see-through skirty-thing on the right… very¬†intriguing.

Woah, check out those heels on the right! Huge round of applause to the model for managing to walk in those beauties.

Lovely sheer sleeves, and open sided trousers too – wonderful for lounging around and drinking cocktails while the sun sets.

Really love both of these; especially the pleated section on the right – I’m thinking jellyfish!

A touch more restrained perhaps, but still with the ever-present sense of fun lurking around.

Amazingly gorgeous silky prints! I’m a sucker for a photo-print silk.

Embellished to the uber-extreme – just the way we like it!
